The Selaru laboratory - Inflammatory Bowel Disease

WE ARE HIRING!!!  The Selaru laboratory at Johns Hopkins University is looking for a motivated and talented postdoctoral researcher with a background in chemical engineering and drug development. Experience in medicinal chemistry is highly preferred. Dr. Selaru is a practicing gastroenterologist, with a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. His laboratory has expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, animal modeling and drug development, with a highly translational focus. Our goal is to advance therapies to patients. Current strategies include sustained release drug formulation, targeting strategies and drug modifications. The lab is proficient and has created several animal models of disease used to translate science findings to patients. Dr. Selaru is the director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Hopkins (https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/gastroenterology-hepatology/specialty-centers/ibd-center).

Desired skills and experience: A track record of publication, research in experimental studies in chemical engineering, with an emphasis on medicinal chemistry, drug design and drug delivery systems.
