Background

Dr. Christopher Bailey is an interventional radiologist in the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. 

Dr. Bailey completed his undergraduate studies at New York University followed by his medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed internship on the Osler Internal Medicine Service at Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by an integrated diagnostic and interventional radiology residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he served as chief resident from 2019-2021. 

His current clinical interests include body interventional radiology with a primary interest in vascular malformations and interventional oncology. Dr. Bailey's primary research focus is in biomedical engineering centered on the design, development, and application of novel devices for percutaneous and endovascular interventions. He has received grant funding for this work from the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) at Hopkins, Maryland TEDCO, and the Bisciotti Foundation. 

Dr. Bailey also serves as the Director of the Johns Hopkins Hospital LE&RN Center of Excellence (COE).
